Waterford County Council
Tramore Heritage Signage

My role: Design and over seeing production of graphic panels for inclusion in the sign units.

I was very glad to work with Bernadette Guest the Waterford County Council Heritage Officer on another Heritage signage project. This one was for the town of Tramore, Co. Waterford and involved designing panels with environmental and coastal heritage details and maps.

Working on these projects you indirectly learn a lot about a town and its history. In the case of Tramore, the vast amount of wildlife and habitats coupled with the towns historical connection to the sea made for very interesting work.

Maps were illustrated on the panels to show both the environmental and coastal heritage. Who new that Tramore Bay, got its nick name "The Graveyard of Ships" because of the 147 approx vessels which went down in and around it.
